Ancient Artifacts Found in Gaza
Thousands of ancient coins made of silver found in the Gaza area of Rafah near the border.
Ministry of Tourism and ancient objects in Gaza earlier this week announced the discovery of antiquities by a number of archaeologists. Ancient artifacts were found near the border with Rafah, Egypt.
“The most important discovery is a 1300 silver coin, whether small or large,” said Hamas Tourism Minister Mohammed al-Agha.
He said the archaeologists also found a grinder made of black basalt stones, coins which have carved a cross on top, and side-walls and arches remaining are expected to be built in the year 320 BC.
In addition, they also found a mysterious basement, which was suspected to be the tomb, the entrance is blocked.
